Fox Racing: Sergio Perez Wins Monte Carlo In A Half-Wet, Half-Dry Race
Sergio Perez wins is the Monaco Grand Prix and has been confirmed as its winner, with the Mexican star signing a new contract with Red Bull.
Enjoying the best season of his career and basking in the glory of legitimate title contention after seven laps, his future with Red Bull Racing is certain after his third career win and for the first time in the Principality.
The whole team was happy to get the win and third place with Max Verstappen – or at least it was.
Jos Verstappen, Max’s father, wrote on his son’s website that he believes the team has some explanation to make Perez strategically win the race, which could be the first sign of stress in a team that traditionally prefers to have the dominant driver.
It could be a well-timed victory if speculation about Monaco’s demise, at least as an annual event, only grows over the course of the weekend despite packed houses and exciting racing.
In a packed schedule of races that are increasingly trying to compete with each other, it is clear that there is still room for Monte Carlo to raise his game.
Meanwhile, Daniel Ricciardo has an ally in Jenson Button, who came out on Monday to criticize McLaren CEO Zak Brown over comments made last week.
Sergio Pérez After Monaco Win With Two-Year Contract Extension At Red Bull

The 32-year-old is currently third in the world championship driver’s standings after finishing fourth last year.
“This has been an incredible week,” said Pérez. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream for any driver and then announcing that I would continue with the team until 2024 made me incredibly happy. I am very proud to be a member of this team and I feel completely at home here.”
This season, he has picked up 110 points from seven races, including a win at Monaco, while he also took pole position at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: “’Checo’ has done a fantastic job. Time and time again, he has proven himself not only to be an excellent player, but as his comfort level has increased, he has become a real force to be reckoned with at the end. goal. For us, his speed, racing skills and experience are unquestionable. ”
